Naval Program Names Vessel After Gabrielle Giffords
A naval program in Mobile, Alabama has named a new vessel after local shooting survivor Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. Austal USA gave the USS Gabrielle Giffords to the Navy on Friday, saying the ship was named after the Arizona congresswoman because of the perseverance she showed following the assassination attempt. Arizona to Use Bluetooth and Wifi to Track Traffic
An Intelligent Transportation System will be at work in two more Arizona cities beginning in 2017. What does that mean? Well a Bluetooth and wifi monitoring system will be used to track how well vehicles are moving on Arizona roads. Officials hope this will help solve roadway problems faster, keeping traffic moving by changing signal timing and allowing drivers to check real-time commute times. Cactus Bowl Returns to Chase Field
The Cactus Bowl is set to take place for the second year in a row at Chase Field tonight. The Motel 6 Cactus Bowl game will have the Baylor Bears and Boise State Broncos competing for the win. But don’t get too comfortable with the game being played at Chase Field, as the Cactus Bowl is set to return to the Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Stadium in 2018.
