Feel Like You Are Running Out of Bandwidth? Here Is How You Can Redefine and Realign

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt like you reached your capacity, and if you had to add one more thing, it might all topple over and come crashing down on the spot?

This happens in business, relationships, community work, family, health, financially, and even within our overall mental sphere. We feel like we don’t have enough space for everything we’re already doing, and the thought of more can throw us over the edge. As you can imagine, this is a serious problem for anyone who wants to expand or level-up.

So, where is the disconnect between what you choose to do and the life you actually want to live? As hard as it can be to find, it lies blocking our path in the space between freedom and captivity. Most of us have been enslaved by our society’s expectations of what a productive, valuable, successful human being looks like…and how’s that been working out for us as a society? (Hint: it’s crashing down fast and hard). We – society – have hit our capacity for the ways we have been trying to live.

If the relentless events of change in 2020 taught us anything, it’s that the world we thought we had to live in – the way we were taught things have to be – has crumbled & exposed a level of confusion that has seen many people slow down and realize we don’t have to do things we were taught we have to do, and we don’t have to do them the way we were taught they have to be done in order to be successful. We have to redefine where our value lies and realign with our most authentic, ideal selves.

In this episode, we ask ourselves some simple, yet difficult, questions so we can first take note of what’s missing. The most important thing we can do for ourselves now is be honest, so allow your most direct and sincere answers in.

Start with asking yourself:

Who AM I…really? If you dare, ask in front of a mirror. “Mirror work” is one of the single most effective forms of healing, in my experience. Now, dig a little deeper:

  1. Do you allow yourself to live within your truest potential, or do you keep taking what others give you even when it doesn’t mesh with your true inspirations?
  2. Truly, deep down, at your core, what are your heart’s most authentic desires? Is this how you decide how to spend your time?

Bottom line: If you feel like you’re over capacity, you’ve got too much on your plate that you don’t love or aren’t passionate about, and not enough of what excites your spirit. You can bring more freedom into your life by creating more space and time for yourself (for many reasons, but first and foremost, because you weren’t designed to be a work horse).

So, how do we begin clearing out some of the junk on our plates, open up our bandwidth, and redefine for a greater, more aligned capacity?

Learn to identify your own faulty belief systems and the illusions within you. Take a break (breathe), step back, process, integrate, and reevaluate your own truths and the lies you tell yourself. You may be running on auto-pilot in an old system that’s no longer working for you. In this case, you need to reevaluate from your new level, more expansive level.

From here on out, give yourself permission to start making decisions that only align with the you who you want to live as.

That means, as you explore more of what’s driving you from your core – your heart space – you take inventory of your life, your thoughts, your emotions, your beliefs, your worries, and what and who you give your time & energy to. If it’s not a match for who you truly are, resolve to heal what’s keeping you stuck believing you have to live your life spinning too many plates (not empty plates, either, but plates filled with things that don’t even spark your interest in truly fulfilling ways).

Now is the time to decide and make the choice, moment by moment, to align what you do with who you are now and who you can be, and take control of shaping your life to be exactly what you want it to be.  Give yourself permission to take those things that aren’t in alignment with who you want to be off of your plate. They are just distractions from you.

To allow this mental & energetic shift to penetrate deeper, you can continuously include additional forms of healing (such as sound healing, one of my favorites) that will unlock your heart space (through your Heart Chakra) and help you cleanse, balance, open up to, and align with your true core. You can learn more about your Heart Chakra and energy-based healing with a quick web search anytime you want to head further into that rabbit hole.

Thank yourself for taking the time to explore more ways to bridge the gap between who you have been, who you are now, and who you CAN be – redefining and realigning. No more living over-capacity if you don’t want to!

We’ll talk soon for our next healing session.
