SALES CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES
Selling our unique FunnelPoint™ marketing services to new business customers both locally and nation-wide. Primary Industry verticals include: Healthcare, legal, dental, home services, and automotive.
Identifying and qualifying customers through a series of initial contacts leading to the ultimate close meeting with the senior STNTV management.
Identifying and nurturing new sales targets through a regular series of emails, phone calls, and events leading to sales conversions.
BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION
Due to our continued rapid growth, we need a dedicated full-time sales consultant to work with our team to generate and help close new business. Primarily working out of our corporate headquarters based on downtown Phoenix (just to the east of Chase Field), this person will be instrumental in helping us grow by creating awareness, consideration, and sales conversion of our industry-leading marketing solutions. We are already witnessing very high close rates based on our previous and limited sales activity so the greater awareness this new individual can create with our ideal prospective customers, the most successful this role will be. Compensation includes a base salary plus sales and renewal commissions.
Ability to identify and create awareness with new sales prospects using a coordinated and methodical sales prospecting process.
Ability to conduct initial needs assessment calls and/or meetings with sales prospects located both locally in Arizona and through-out the nation.
Ability to perform a cost-benefit analysis with new sales prospects.
Ability to meet or exceed minimum new sales and renewal targets.
Ability to work closely with management to schedule prospect close meetings and the successful transition new prospects into customers.
Must be able to work professionally with others in a team environment.
Must have proven sales skills, experience, and accomplishments with your previous employers.
Must be highly organized, self-motivated and not require constant micro-management.
Experience using CRM systems like SalesForce.com and mass emailing systems like Constant Contact, Mail Chimp and the like preferred.
Must be willing to travel on a limited basis as needed – no more than 10-20% estimated but could change.
BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.
Prior successful sales experience and/or training preferred.
Prior experience in successfully conducting WebEx/GoToMeeting virtual sales meetings preferred.

‘Star Wars’ Fans Host Lightsaber Walk in Honor of Actress Carrie Fisher
A group of Star Wars fans is organizing a Star Wars themed march to honor the late Carrie Fisher in Tempe Beach Park on Friday. You may recognize Fisher as Princess Leia in three different sequels of the Star Wars franchise, the movies that were responsible for the beginning of her stardom. The Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction has seen a number of high profile cars roll through the auction block over the years, but this year a car previously owned by John Lennon will be up for bid. The car is a 1956 Austin Princess will be apart of the auction’s Salon collection, which includes rare and valuable cars. The car will be sold with the registration signed by Lennon. Hey everyone. My name is Hannah and I am the intern here at The Social Television Network. I want to talk a little bit about the newest technological trend that has taken the world by storm. I’m talking about Pokémon Go. As a 90’s kid, I am familiar with the Pokémon craze. I did occasionally watch the TV show and would help my friends collect some of the playing cards. However, I never really got into all of the hype of watching disproportional animated characters with crazy hair run around capturing these innocent creatures, collecting them like trophies, and making them fight each other. Conceptually, it made no sense to me, so I never became a real fan.
As I got older, it seemed like Pokémon became just another past fad that ran its course, something that I was okay with. A few days ago I went onto Facebook and was immediately confused by my friends’ posts. My friends were going crazy. All of a sudden Pokémon was cool again. I don’t really know how that happened, but I saw all of my friends were posting statuses about an app called Pokémon Go. After getting past the initial shock that Pokémon had made a miraculous come back, I decided to investigate. I mean, what is Pokémon Go?
I did a lot of extensive googling. I had to know what all of this meant. I first learned Pokémon Go is a free app that is meant to bring 20-somethings dream of living in a world inhabited by Pokémon to reality. Upon reading this, I was somewhat offended. As someone in their 20’s, I can confirm that this was not something that I dreamed of. I am sure there are many people, some even in their early 30’s, who were overjoyed when this app came out, I just was not one of them.
The way this game works is by using augmented reality to hunt for these Pokémon. By doing this, it makes players feel like they live in the world of Pokémon. The app uses the GPS in your phone to help you track these Pokémon critters. So no matter where you are, you can always be on the look out for these fantastical creatures.
The games goal is to collect all of the Pokémon characters by traveling the world. You may hear players using the phrase “gotta catch them all,” in reference to collecting all of the Pokémon. Upon collecting Pokémon, players can train at of their creatures at gyms and practice battling. Again, the point of the game is to catch all of the Pokémon in the world. If you actually have enough time and money to travel the world in order to seek out all of the Pokémon, you automatically win bragging rights and the tittle of Pokémon Master! That’s basically what Pokémon Go is. It seems pretty harmless right?
Well, it seems players have really committed to the game and have been seeking out Pokémon everywhere including trains, bathrooms, parks and beaches. However, some players have really gone out of their way to “catch them all.” Reports of players hunting for Pokémon creatures in inappropriate places have been made. Locations such as cemeteries, war memorials, and even the holocaust museum have been unknowingly housing Pokémon and are drawing in players. Currently, these places are trying to contact the game’s developers to try to get their locations taken off the game. While this is wrong, it just goes to show how wildly popular Pokémon is and the commitment fans make to be apart of the Pokémon world.
So now that you know what Pokémon Go is, are you going to download the app and start playing? Maybe? Well if you’re not, that’s okay. You might have read through this blog and be thinking to yourself, I still don’t understand why this is so popular. There is no real point to this. If that’s what you are thinking, you’re probably right. I can’t explain why people are so obsessed with Pokémon. It would be like explaining why people were obsessed with leg warmers and shoulder pads, beanie babies, or even Furbies. There really is no explanation – it just catches on.
Pokémon Go brings back nostalgic memories for those who were big fans and allows a younger generation into the world of Pokémon. Hopefully, now you have a better understanding of Pokémon Go and its growing popularity.

This week at Maricopa Animal Care and Control we met Bom Bom and Missy. The shelter believes they are mother and son because of the way they take care of each other. Bom Bom is four years old and Missy is seven years old. They were surrendered together and therefore the shelter hopes they will be adopted out together.

Some would say Arizona Spring Training 2016 starts at the first pitch on game day, but for many fans, it starts with their team’s practice days.
The allure of attending a team’s practice is unknown to some, but it certainly has its benefits. Fans are able to get up close and personal with players. During the players’ break from practicing, occasionally they will make themselves approachable for autographs and photos. Some fans even have the opportunity to talk to their favorite players if they’re lucky.
The practices provide many opportunities that are not available during games. Not only are there obvious benefits of having a personal experience with the team members, but the fact that practices are completely free to attend is alluring as well. These games are easy to attend because the crowds are much smaller than regular games, creating a much more intimate experience for fans.
