PHOENIX (STN) – When season three of ‘It Happens at STN’ premieres this month, three new faces will take the stage as hosts for the groundbreaking local media experience.
This season, Monique Lopez, chief operating officer at UMOM, will co-host the new series ‘Leading in the Moment.’ Veronica Aguilar, the founder of Young and Empowered Women, will help lead the discussion for ‘In the Room,’ and Erin Moran, the associate vice president of the American Heart Association, joins as host of the new series ‘The Wellness Collective.’
“To say these women are the best of the best is an understatement,” said STN Chief Communications Officer Kathy Clark. “They are the power players in their respective organizations and in the community.”
With the addition of the new hosts, STN aims to drive more conversation and content centered around female leadership, guided by female leaders. Moran, Aguilar, and Lopez will join already established ‘It Happens at STN’ hosts Amy Schwabenlender, who is the CEO of Keys to Change and hosts the ‘McQuaid Mission,’ and longtime STN host Monica Villalobos, the CEO of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
“To have them [Lopez, Aguilar, and Moran] on stage this season leading these critical conversations, and joining what’s already a powerful roster with Monica and Amy, that’s invaluable,” Clark said.
Before joining the team at STN, each of the new hosts recently received accolades recognizing them for their efforts in the community and their success as leaders. Aguilar was honored by the Phoenix Business Journal in their 2023 class of ‘40 Under 40.’ Moran was named one of the most influential women in Arizona business by AZ Big Media in 2023. Lopez earned a Piper Fellowship in 2023.
“These women are all driving forces for progress in our community. Adding them to our network means fresh perspectives and voices essential to pushing our mission forward,” said STN COO Rachel Andrews.
The experience and skills of each of the women align with the STN mission of community improvement through involvement, and they will provide important and unique perspectives on a variety of issues for the ‘It Happens at STN’ audience.
“Our audience is filled with major community stakeholders, and I believe our new hosts will connect with them easily because of their aligned desire for social impact,” Andrews said. “They are exceptional people who are setting new standards, influencing change, inspiring others, and they will help STN usher in a new era of thought leadership.”
Clark added that she is most impressed by how these women are not only incredibly successful in their own right, but are also dedicated to influencing future generations of female leaders.
“They are mentors and collaborators,” she said. “These leaders pour themselves into their work while finding time and energy to grow those coming up behind them. That’s incredibly inspiring and so important.”
As with previous seasons of ‘It Happens at STN,’ season three will feature 10 new episodes, one each month, debuting in September and running through July 2025. Each episode is recorded in front of a live audience at the STN studios in downtown Phoenix.
