Phoenix (STN) – For many people, Dr. Judy Robles became known through Unstoppable, the feature film that tells the story of her son, former Arizona State University wrestling champion Anthony Robles. During the Season 4 finale of It Happens at STN, she shared lessons that extended far beyond the movie.
“You could see the strength that we had, the love that we carried,” Robles said, describing the experience as deeply emotional.
“The trials and tribulations didn’t knock us down, and they didn’t keep us down.”
Robles said faith provided the foundation that carried her family through difficult moments, while her children remained a constant source of motivation. She also credited Anthony with helping her recognize her own potential.
“Anthony was my backbone and believed in me before I believed in myself,” she said.

Today, Robles works at Arizona State University, leads the Robles Unstoppable Foundation, and advocates for young people throughout Arizona. Central to that work is her belief in mentorship.
“Mentorship is crucial,” Robles said. “I would not be where I am without mentorship.”
She described how mentors entered her life at pivotal moments, encouraging her to pursue opportunities, embrace growth, and move beyond self-imposed limitations.
That experience continues to shape how she approaches leadership and service. Robles urged community leaders to stay present, invest in others, and listen to younger generations.
“I think it’s important to stay teachable because that encourages growth,” she said.
